Tyson Henry (Chief Data Scientist and CTO @BurstIQ)
As Chief Data Scientist and CTO of BurstIQ, Mr. Henry has led in the innovation, design, and development of BurstChain and the IQ data platform-as-a-service, called Secure Data Grid. Henry is an accomplished software engineer, data architect, and executive with over 25 years of experience. His expertise includes data visualization, analytics, products and services spanning various industry verticals such as Air Force Space Weather Forecasting Center, Research Labs, Health Care, Telecommunications, Broadband/Cable, and Financial.
Justin Schaper (CTO @Empiric Health)
Justin Schaper serves as the CTO for Empiric Health. In this position he is responsible for design and creation of innovative software applications to help health systems identify variations in procedures and improve outcomes using proprietary analytics to facilitate data-driven insights.
Mr. Schaper has more than 20 years in the healthcare and information technology industries, delivering creative and insightful technology solutions to healthcare with an emphasis on analytics. With his deep expertise in technology, analytics and data science he has led the technical build of multiple start-ups including Intermedix.
Megan Bultema (Chief Data Scientist @Empiric Health)
Megan Bultema (Carter) obtained her doctorate in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in 2012 from Colorado State University and continued her research as a postdoctoral fellow at Stockholm University, Sweden. During her academic endeavors Megan applied statistical methodology towards interatomic force field parameterization and X-ray crystallography publishing a total of 11 publications in peer reviewed journals and serving as a Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Colorado. Following this academic career, she leveraged her academic experience as a Data Scientist and focused directly on Machine Learning methodologies. Megan is currently the Chief Data Scientist at Empiric Health leading a team of highly skilled individuals focused on developing innovative solutions to support the mission in reducing unwarranted clinical variation.
